Residential driveway rehabilitation

An existing asphalt driveway in Perth had developed cracks, potholes and localised settlement caused by ongoing ground movement.
The result was a brand-new, premium concrete driveway without the cost and disruption of a full demolition and rebuild.
An existing asphalt driveway in Perth had failed prematurely, developing cracks, potholes and localised settlement due to ongoing ground movement. With resurfacing unlikely to provide a long-term fix, the homeowner needed a more permanent solution without the disruption of a full demolition and rebuild.

The Challenge

The existing asphalt driveway had deteriorated through cracking, potholes and localised settlement. A conventional demolition and rebuild would have created significant disruption, while resurfacing was unlikely to provide a long-term solution.

The Solution

Rather than ripping up the existing
driveway and starting again, Rombus
Fusion V2 was installed directly over the
asphalt.
Low spots were levelled first, then the grid
was laid and filled with concrete, creating
a new durable surface while keeping the
existing driveway underneath and
avoiding unnecessary demolition.
